Emerging Leaders Lab

A practice-based leadership lab for emerging leaders.
Not another training.
The Promotion Paradox
High-performing individual contributors are often promoted into leadership roles because of their strong execution and ability to deliver results...
But they are rarely supported through the transition, despite leadership requiring a shift in mindset, new skills, and a different way of working.
Introducing The Emerging Leaders Lab
The early-stage support leaders rarely receive
The Approach
The Emerging Leaders Lab helps new managers develop leadership behaviours in practice, rather than just learning theory.
It combines:
-
Applied leadership labs – live, scenario-driven cohort sessions that tackle real-world challenges.
-
Structured reflection – built-in moments to integrate learning directly into day-to-day work.
-
Coaching reinforcement – 1:1 support to strengthen confidence, decision-making, and delegation.
At the core: the shift from doer → enabler of others.
Everything in the program is designed to create observable behavioural change. Not just increased awareness or satisfaction with the program.
What Leaders Gain
This isn't about leaving with more information. It's about approaching leadership differently.
Participants leave with:
-
a clearer understanding of what their role is as leader (and what it isn't)
-
more intentional ways of navigating organizational dynamics
-
practical approaches to delegation, boundaries & communication
-
greater confidence navigating the tensions of leadership & having difficult conversations
-
stronger reflective leadership practices
-
a community of peers to learn alongside
How it Works
Applied Leadership Labs (7 weeks)
Weekly 2-hour virtual interactive labs:
Each week focuses on a core leadership theme, with real-life application in participants’ teams between sessions
Leadership Integration Week (1 week)
Structured reflection & consolidation of behaviours tested in practice:
Participants review and reflect on their leadership patterns in practice, consider how operational realities shape their decisions, and prioritize key areas for focused coaching.
Coaching (2 months)
1:1 support focused on embedding behaviours in real-time:
Individual coaching to help leaders navigate live challenges, deepen reflection, and translate insights into day-to-day leadership practice.
Community of Practice (Optional, 8 months)
Quarterly light-touch sessions for ongoing peer learning & connection:
A space for leaders to reconnect, share experiences, navigate ongoing challenges, and continue learning alongside peers beyond the formal program.
